I've heard them in a pre-fab bandpass and it was pretty terrible. It didn't even get semi loud. I'm pretty sure you will need to seal them to get much low end out of them.

i remember those cheap *** Jensens's from walmart back in 2002 they had about 2-3 inch surrounds i guess for appealing reasons lol, those subs sucked ***
