I am inclined to think it's the amp, but I could be wrong?
I privately purchased a car, and the only thing I see wrong with this car
(Nissan Sentra Special Edition 1.8, 2006)
Is that the sub doesn't work at all and the rear speakers are very quite as if not getting any amplification.
The front speakers work great.
I've check the fade and balance and both are at 0, treb at 0 and bass at 0. Everything stock.
I've checked the 3 fuses for the radio, audio, and sub audio... all 3 fine. I've made sure the molex connections are secure and they are (disconnected the sub, and both amp molexs and reapplied all 3 securely.
From what is visible I don't see any fraying, just a little discolored due to age I think... but flexible and not overly stiff like they had been burned or just aged...
Radio, top cd player, and 6 cd changer all work fine enough like the radio. Again, in all instances front audio is flawless if a bit muddy but that's the system I think or whatever is causing this.
Is this a bad amp, or something?
Should I try resetting by disconnecting the battery for 15 min or so ?
Thanks for any help.
