then what amp should i get?!
ok i'll help you out, but first you have to tell me the following
what is your budget? (don't forget wiring and battery and big 3)
what are you concerned with? sound quality or spl (loudness)?
what kind of music so you listen to most?
do you want 1 or 2 subwoofers?
are you comfortable with cutting a hole in your door to mount a tweeter?
Do you have average technical skill? (connect your tv, computer speakers, connecting computer?)
If you answer these we can better help you make a good system

Also I did my first install myself when i was 16, and i have to admit, it was pretty hard. But it was one of the best moments of my life when i finally finished it. I felt the rush that many here feel, diy is the way to go, trust me.
and heres a good thing to go by, do not buy from a company that mainly advertise it's peak power... they are crap. do not buy from companies that have stuff like 2000 rms for $150, they are crap...
i would suggest you get this, good quality, cheap, reliable, and great power.

And about bestbuy, do not get your stuff installed there, search around the forum and you'll find horror stories about how bestbuy ripped them off, wrong installation, fail to take responsibility when brand new sub blew after 5 seconds because they wired it wrong, and many more.
also like mentioned before, they do charge you unless they say on the advertisement that it's free.
I have a friend that works there and he can get stuff installed in his car for free, but he'd rather go to a shop and pay money. That should tell you.
