Not happy with Dayton 120

thats funny cause im using a IBM laptop...what about an IPOD would that work?

tried it...still sounds bad...distorts a high volumes...sounds like its bottoming out and cant even come close to handling low htz notes with gains set moderately.

Could it be the box its in?

Yup, just use that same 3.5m=>RCA adapter and plug it in...

doubt its the box...the box is the box that it came in....it was the dayton 120 package

no thats not it...gains at half...receiver at -23, subwoofer at +8 out of 12 and its bottoming out i think...sounds terrible...cant "shake" anything

this is strange-

i was assuming it was a crappy input signal

may need to just be warrantied

did it work well for any period of time?

maybe the input is very sensitive on your sub amp and your preamp outs from your receiver are high

i think i needed to maybe set my lowpass a little higher and gains down a little....also i am in a room that is basically a 20x20 concrete box...with a solid concrete floor...so im getting no flexing of anything...may reduce my output a little compared to a house.
