Normal?

I've got a comp vr 12 in a sealed box in my trunk, getting about 200 watts. It sounds great inside the car, but when I open the trunk and stand directly infront of it, it sounds funny. Maybe muffled..I can't really explain the sound. Is it normal or is something wrong?

thats just how they sound, i had two twelves and that is exactly how they sounded.. muffled...

u wont with 300 watts man, i was given my kickers 450 watts rms a piece and they were fine

with the trunk lid closed you're enjoying the benefits of cabin gain.

sounds like you need more power, or look at the enclosure...tell us about the enclosure...

it's like 35" wide, 14" tall, but the depth differs. On the top It's 7 and on bottom it's 12.

kickercvrs are for mostly spl with very little sq, but in the right enclosure u can make them sound pretty good, sucks for me cuz i bought my box at
