Noone ever use KBAUDIO for amp repair!!!!

Thats why for like 20 dollars more, I sent my Tantrum to Phoenix Gold to be repaired. I got it back yesterday, after only about 3 weeks of waiting. They packaged it extremely well double boxing it and all. To top it off the amp works like a charm now, even better than before.

dammmit...maybe i should've had zach send it to pg instead but he couldn't get a hold of them.

i think it's only been like 2 weeks so far..

just got my amp back and there were no major issues, aside from them sending it to my old address 3 hrs away(fortunately UPS was able to change the address once it reached the distrobution center). Although they did not send me my plugs back(PPI PC4100), apparently they don't really go through the box you send your amp in. I can say though that both PPI amps(previously sent an A600) I have sent them have returned in the same condition as they were sent in. I was a little nervous this time as the PC4100 was MINT!

Not sure if you have have the original serial number stuff but if you do check to make sure they sent you the correct amp. I made sure I wrote down my serial number before I sent it out so I could make sure I got my amp back.

Before I sent my amp out for repair I called PPI(DEI) and they no longer service the older Powerclass and art series amps. They have a couple people they will refer you to for repairs. Here is a link to the website for one of the guys they recommended, he is located in MA. His prices were a bit higher than KB and he was real backed up when I called so I went with KB but I after reading this post I may go another direction.

Sorry to hear about your amp, along with the two PPI's I mentioned I also have a PC2150. I would be pi$$ed if they got damaged!

sorry, I am going to hang on to it. I plan to sell the A600 shortly but I want to hang on the 2150. In fact I am constantly on the look out for more amps in the PC series. I have been trying to get a PC2350 as well as the 1400.

yeah i had a hard time with kbaudio. lots of unanswered calls and it took twice as long to get my amp back (2months).

same here, i got a ampman revo out of it that works when it wants to, the RCAs are ****ed up

shit i sent two xenons into PG for repair and i got one of them back 7 days after i sent it...and the other i got 10 tens after the day i sent...shit 10 days for two amps including there and back shipping....PG ftw.
