I have the guitar hero guitar for the PS3, will the GH guitar work with Rockband 2?

TECHNICALLY it should work but not what you want.... different colors different places plus guitar hereo doesnt have the buttons at the bottom of the guitar neck

No. Horribly wrong.

The only difference between the guitars is how they're designed/set-up.

My GH2 controller worked for GH3 and RockBand... so I'd imagine the same would be true for GH3 and RB on PS3. (And my cousin's GH3 controller worked on RB, too... IIRC)

Where you ARE right that the GH3 guitar doesn't have the buttons on the bottom like the Rockband one does, those are just for solos so you don't have to strum... but you can use any of the Guitar Hero controllers with RB.

And, I'm somewhat colorblind and I can tell that they're the same colors.

The reason behind this is because the creators of Rockband are renegade creators of GH1 and 2, who branched off after 2 and created Rockband.

Yes it will work, but the stratocaster RB guitar has a few functions that the GH controller doesn't. These functions are not necessary for normal gameplay, but they DO add an interesting bit.

How do you know the guitar hero drum set will work with RB? You got a time machine and go to the future and try seeing as how GHWT isn't out yet?
