this is prolly pretty much self explanitory but im askin anyway. the sub im getting has a dual 2ohm voice coil. so does that mean i have to run it @ 2ohms on my amp?

No, you can either wire the voice coils in parallel for a 1 ohm load, or in series for a 4 ohm load. But you can't get a 2 ohm load from a single 2 ohm DVC sub.
