noob question

Well, it really never occured to me and i just want to make sure. I have a cd8445 with the 8V pre outs. My component amp's weakest signal is 4v (memphis 16-PR200.2). Do i have a conflict here if i just set the gain all the way to 4v?

Just set the gain... sqrt(resistance x wattage)....

You'll be fine.

The worst thing that could possibly happen is that you won't be able to use your HU's entire volume range.
