if you had the opportunity to run a VERY loud daily system consisting of solo x subs and enough power to have ALOT of headroom, how would you feel. has to be solo x subs, remember that when you post. bassrace will be the name of the game, but yes daily setup with solo x subs.

thanks

Solo X's eh? If Polecat were still around he would definitely endorse this. Most folks believe the solo-x can only be used for SPL. While that is the intended purpose of woofer, I think it would easily double as a fierce bass race sub. Just remember, these woofers love power so make sure you bring some serious power to the table.

ive heard alot of bad thigns about the last 2 productions of the solo x's, cone crumbels etc.
To my knowledge, the 07 models are a vast improvement over the later models. The cone was a known problem and from what I've heard through the grapevine, Kicker definitely improved what was happening to the cone.

Oh yeah, solo-x's blow easily. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Of all the problems one would face with running a solo-x daily, easily blowing it would not be one of them.

Personally I wouldn't run a solo-x daily, but then Im very critical of how my daily system sounds, not just the pressure it generates.

I wouldnt take the solox personally.... It's just not a daily driver sub lol. It doesn't really matter what kind of sq you like, it's just not meant for it. Now if you're talking about a wall of 4 18"s behind the front seats, thats a different story because it's going to get so loud you wont be able to focus lol. JMO

Also, the 07's are just as bad if not worse then the earlier models as far as durability. A connect that sells kicker told me this personally. He said "if I sold 4 a week i'd have 3 returned the next week."

I competed against a guy from Texas with 2 Solo-x and a crown amp. Pretty loud. Also there is a video on ROE of some older car flexing to pieces with 1 solo-x18. Go for it.

I'm pretty sure using a 18'' solo x is bit more of a hassle than its worth, considering all the power you have to run to it.

But i was even curious about the 10 and 12 inch solo x's. I think it would be pretty cool to have such a beast of a small sub pouding away.

They also dont take rediculous amounts of power to get going like the 18.

I would say yes to a 10 or 12 solo x.

I would love a 18, but its just a way bit out of the reasonable for daily IMO.

Same thing was said about the MT when it first came out(i know the X has been around a bit)...its not a daily sub but yet there a ton of people that run them daily

You can blow any sub daily if ur clipping it to hell

And the new 07 cones are a totally diff beast....far better than the last ones

Good Luck i say go for it
