noob question: RF 800a2 with CVX12 dual 4ohm?

I got an old school RF 800a2 that I want to use for the CVX12.

the 800a2's specs

200x2 @ 4ohm

400x2 @ 2ohm

800x1 @ 4ohm

the CVX12 is a dual 4ohms so I know you can only run it either 2 or 8 ohm.

Can I run this amp with that sub at all or I have to get another amp? Thanks in advance for all your help.

thank you, will a Hifonics BX1205D work okay? I'm going to wire the sub into 2ohms and the BX1205D feed 900w rms @ 2 ohms. I'm a newbie to car audio so I only know mainstream stuff. How is hifonics compare to a mainstream brand like kicker? I was looking at the kicker zx750.1 but it cost too much for me at the time.

do you already have the cvx? if not just get the dual 2 version and that amp should be ok.

the hifonics will give roughly the same power as that rockford amp will at 1 ohm
