Noob question for you experts!

I just have some noob questions for you experts to help me with.

So I have 2 amps, 1 is for the front component speakers, and the other is for the subwoofers. I plugged the RCA for the front component speakers into the

FRONT RCA slot of my Alpine cda-9855 deck. For the subwoofer, can I just use the RCA OUTPUT on the first amp to the input of the second amp save the trouble of running another RCA from the deck to the back of the car.

I wouldn't wreck anything right? Would I still be able to control the sub volume from the deck? Are there voltage differences between the RCA outputs on the deck between front, rear, and subwoofer?

ohh this is gonna sound bad but, my RCAs are exactly about 3 inches too short to fit it in the exact hole that I want it to fit. Can I just cut them and patch it up? Would that deterioate the sound quality?

umm my new speakers sound great amped, but last night when I was testing them, I could hear a small popping once or twice per song. What the problem? too much gain? The speakers are PG RSD 6.5" and they are getting about 100 watts each.

Please PLease help so I can finish my install today!

Thanks alot ahead of time

You wouldn't be able to control the sub volume form the deck, as it's only the subwoofer out that the SUB-W adjustment affects.

I don't know on splicing the RCA's.

The popping is distortion/clipping. Back off on the gain a little, or treble increases/etc.
