Noob question about 6.5'th

Do they work like free air subs (no enclosure required) or do they use the door or kickpanels as an enclosure. The reason I am asking becouse my doors don't have place for speakers and I am going to cut out my own holes in the top layer (no moeny for fiberglass) then gonna stick speakers into the opening. I will prolly deadn the door.

They will use the air space in the doors.

Make sure they are mounted firmly with no leaks around the edge.

Oh! Dont use speakers with paper cones in the doors, they will **** up any moisture inside the panel and warp all to hell, get somthing with a plastic cone.
