Yes, I listened to this cd with my 15" brahma tuned to 24hz and wow it does get low.The Madonna cd that is.

Ok I downloaded and checked out the phil colins - in the air tonight bass remix and man that is horrible. The lows are nice but they don't match the song at all they aren't even the right notes lol.

 
Jamey Johnson - In Color has some pretty good drops

Anarchy Club has has some good bass lines. They tend to put some several remixes of songs on their albums.

Lady Gaga has some hard hitting stuff

Dupsteps not techno, you wouldnt call jim hendrix alternative. technos from 1980, dupstep was first introduced in 2001 or so. Not even close to the same man
Techno is a generic term for electronica. Dubstep is indeed a form "techno" Techno aka electronica came about in the 90s imo, the 80s "techno" as you call it was more synth pop rather than the progressive house, trance, break beat or dubstep that you know of today.

Oh and I didnt bother reading through the whole thread, but anything by Sublime usually has a good bass line. Caress Me Down is a real good one
