noise from laptop

i have my laptop hooked up to my h/u with headphone jacks and it sounds really good but when i hook my laptop up to my converter to charge it i get some static...its not the converter because i can leave it on but unplug my laptop and i dont get it any more...it is coming through the power cable into my laptop...is there anything i can put in-line between my laptop and my h/u to clean up the signal?
