well i bought this anti-virus program for $40 a hour ago and ever since i down loaded its screwed up my computer nothing work..i cant get firefox to come up i cant get internet explorer to come up..i cant even go to my computer to delete nod32 it wont let anything work..

It might help if you let us know what your system is, if you uninstalled the old anti-virus and/or anti-spyware programs, and what have you.

I've used NOD32 countless times and never had any issues, personally.

If you're having difficulty, you can hit start > run ... > msconfig > Services > Check "Hide All Microsoft Services" > Click Unselect All > Startup > Click Unselect All > OK > Restart.

This will have disabled any 3rd party software (including NOD32) and you can uninstall it from the add/remove programs link in the control panel (or Control Panel > Uninstall a Program or Programs & Features if you're in Vista)

Also, you can use system restore to restore your PC back to a previous point in time.

XP - Start computer > Keep pressing F8 > Select Safe Mode w/ Networking > Select Administrator or your user account (enter password as necessary) > Click No on the pop-up dialogue box > Select your restore point.

Vista - Start computer > Keep pressing F8 > Select Repair Your Computer > Select your user account (enter password as necessary) > Click on System Restore > Select your restore point

Please tell me you didn't just delete the folder of the old anti-virus to remove it ...

i've been using kaspersky and i love it. constantly scanning, but doesn't slow my computer down.

you people dont seem to understand me..lol i said it wont let me do anything so how can i delete anything..lol i mean soon has i turn my pc on thats it my cursor moves and when i double click anything i just see the hour glass thats it nothing happens

ever think of starting in safe mode to delete or disable it?

ya i just got free helpful advice on how to fix my problem i got owned..lol people people throw the word pwnt around so much its lost meaning and doesnt have the same impact anymore..anyways i will try the suggestions and hopfully will be right and i can say phuck nod

nod32 is currently running on my computer and it has given me zero problems, it also blocked about 6 trojans/viruses lately (computers still running great).

ok i took care of it, i actually double clicked the little bubble on the lower right corner by the clock then i disabled the visrus control and i had to disable the option that says internet control or whatever and then everything worked fine and i had it removed..now any idea on why i had this problem? id like to keep it if i am the one who made a mistake somewhere especially since i paid $40 for it..plus when they sent me the email to down load it they had 2 links, one for 32bit the other for 64 bit, and when i turn my computer on it says 64 bit but when i down loaded the 64 bit it said the program will not work with my processor so i then down loaded the 32 bit and that worked but thats also when it completely blocked my internet..so any suggestions?

ok heres what is stoping my pc, there is this option called real-time file system protection...when this is on my pc is basically like in a coma, doesnt do anything..when i turn it off my pc works great but then i get this messenge from eod that says your system is exposed to risk but my web access protection is still on..so am i ok?
