no treble?

ok, last night i installed my new pioneer 6600 hu. All that it puts out is bass from my subs, nothing comes out of the door speakers? I have hooked up a couple of hu and i have never had this problem. What do u think it may be? I have no clues. Any help would be great.

You wired it wrong or there is a loose connection.

Are the Door speakers running off the H/U's power or an external amplifier ?

thanks for the quik reply, the door speakers are running off of the hu. Its just strange because i have done this many times before and i have had no problems. I have all the wires in wire nuts and there are no wires touching each other

i double checked all the wires and they seemed like they all had a really good connection.

pioneer has a "sub setting" on the head units, if you hook up the head with this feature on you will get nothing but low tones...my advice no more pioneer for youm, and yes i have a pioneer head unit the avhp7800

all the "sub setting" does is turn the sub preout on the deck on or off... if you have it on or off it won't cut off the deck power...

are your speakers factory? aftermarket? double check all your speakers... make sure they aren't blown... make sure the terminals aren't broken... tinsel leads touching and that none of the wires or terminals are touching metal... then.. TRIPLE check your deck wiring... more than likely you have a bad speaker or something is grounded out somewhere...

If you have a spare speaker sitting around (or can get ahold of one), try pulling the deck out of the dash, disconnecting all the speakers in your car and try connecting one speaker directly to the back of the headunit. Power it on and see if that speaker works.

But I agree with slody, sounds like you might have a speaker (or wire) grounding out

Ok Ok, i have a dodge durango and it has the infinity system in it, so i had to connect the factory amp wire to my red wire(i forgot what it was, it was a hot wire but not constant).
