As you all know i have to raving about my new amp, RF 25 to life p1000 5 channel. It came with no birth sheet and i do not know what the real life power rating is. Is there some one out there who has this amp or know someone who has this amp and can give me the real life power rating. I called RF and they told me they have no way of finding out.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

also, some guys have gotten close to 1k and over on the sub channel, being RF, def underrated...

birth sheets are overrated. Go by the rated power that fosgate gives.
not true, somewhat.

the 25 to life RF amps are SEVERELY UNDERRATED. and i mean severely.

here is my 25 to life punch 150. its suppose to be 75w @ 4 ohms, but as you can see, im sitting at 300. any every other ones i have seen has been between 290-325w per channel. shit was louder than the mb quart amp i i had that was rated at 200 @ 4, and 400 @ 2 ohms (on a 3 ohm load), so i know the rating is legit too.

I thought CEA-2006 Requirements were to keep the power output w/in 10% of ratings?

ur a dumbass
all fosgate amps do their rated power and more
you're the idiot. I know fosgate amps are underated, just like many other amps. Does that mean that the birthsheet is completely accurate. Again dumbass, i have seen and had friends test amps that put out more than what the birthsheet says, therefore birthsheets are overated. You need to learn about car audio idiot, then you would undersatnd where i'm coming from. So if you take his amp and switch it for another amp with same model number, you're telling me he will hear a difference in amps if one has a higher birthsheet. Answer that smart ***. I can't believe you're that dumb. So go by what the birthseets read cause god knows there so **** accurate.gtdo and learn about how amps are measured and that what they measure on a factory will and can differ from what you get in a car. Since he doesn't have a sheet i was telling him to go by the specs and buy his equipment with those specs in mind. So STFU and GTFO

edit: to the op, just because a birthseet may show what the amp is capable of, doesn't mean you will see that power. Buy your equipment based on factory specs.

The birthsheet is certainly more accurate than rated power - therefore saying because the birthsheet isn't completely accurate, you should only concern yourself with the ratings is nonsensical. Just because the power reflected on the birthsheet is not exactly what the amp will be making once it is installed does not make the number irrelevant as you seem to think. You should probably stop talking to avoid sounding like a bigger noob.

So one should go by the birthsheet over rated power? I guess they rate amps just for the joke of it. I go by actual tests, using dmm and/or clamps to see actual power. How do i know that a birthsheet didn't get mixed up. Yeah you're right, i'm a noob, been in car audio since 1987 and had the original punch 45 when they came out. I have no idea what i'm saying.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

We all know what the birthshhet shows will be what the amp will do all day right. We all know everyone gets a constant 14 volts to their amps all day as well.I guess they rate amps just for the joke of it. I'm not here to argue with kids, i'm here to let the op know if hes trying to figure out what equipment to buy, just go by what the amp is rated for.I'm done, I don't have time to argue with kids. OP if this helps great, if not sorry. Maybe i'm not sure the reason why you wanted the birthsheet anyways.
