No power

So i got my amp and that same day i installed it, these are the steps i took

1. Ran 4 awg wire from battery to underneat driver seat (didn't connect to battery or amp)

2. Ran the speaker wires from HU connection to under front seat

3. Ran speaker wire from crossover to under front seat

4. Put on O rings and U connections on cables as needed.

5. Ran Remote turn on from Grounding of the car alarm to under front seat

6. Made ground wire and connected it to the factory groung found under front seat (

Once the cables were run and hade the adequate ends. i went ahead and connected them to the amp. Once they were all connected i went to the battery and hooked up the power wire.

.... Low and behold The Amp was not getting any power.

The and is a Power Acoustik Gotic OV2-500, and i used the Hi level inputs to the amp, which needed a ground as well. For that i used a screw on the housing around the shifter.

Does anybody have any suggestions, I have checked all cables and they are all secure, i have checked the fuse on the amp, its good, and so is the Inline fuse on the power wire. I have no clue. Thanks in advance

So you used a grounding location for the REM connection:waycrazy:

The Rem wire needs a 12v source...

Use a DMM to verify that the wire from the battery and REM is getting at least a 12v signal.

JAJJAJAJA Oh sh!t ( Spanish version of laugh)

I KNOW I DID wrong now, Im an idiot! ( and it does not pain me to say that.)

But in my deffence, i was going to put a switch to it and thus i must be grounded, or so i think, its what i had to do with my neon lights.
