No power to amps

Ok, I got two new amps, a fosgate 500a2, and a fosgate 200a4. I wired everything up perfectly, and am running 2 12 HE2's. Everything worked great the first two days. Then the amps were turning off by themselves, intermittently. Turn on for about a minute, then turn off for a minute. It has now been two more days, and they wont turn on at all. I checked all wiring, and there is power to the amps, but they will no longer turn on. the red LED lights wont turn on. But the wiring is good. I dont know what happened. Any help would be great. I dont have a cap, But even at low volume, neither amp will turn on. This morning they turned on for 10 seconds or so, then turned back off. HELP??????????

The power wire is remaining at 12+ volts constantly?

You have checked the remote wire right?

They are not going into protection... right?

Otherwise... check the all the fusing carefully, check the ground possibly... report back those things and we can try from there.

not trying to hijack but maybe i can learn a bit from this thread

how do you know if the power wire is staying at 12 volts constantly?

how do you know if the amp is going into protection? i heard a car audio guy say this today too.

The subs are 600w max each, and I have them wired to a single 4 ohm load, bridged on the 500a2. I simply a accessory light to test the power, and the light turns on when I touch it to the power and ground, AND remote wires on the amps. So I know there is power there. I dont have a tool to measure the voltage, but all other electrical components in the car work fine.

Google: Multimeter, Ammeter, Series Voltage Display.

Protection depends on the amp.

the test light comes on when I touch the power to the red and the ground to the black, And it also comes on when I touch the remote to the red and the ground to the black. Sorry to confuse.

okay, how positive are you about your ohm load?
