No ground found. Please help!

Take your DMM and set it to continuity and run an extension to your negative post on your battery and hook that up to one of your flukes and with the other fluke probe for a ground spot. When you hear your DMM beap you have a ground continuity. Once you find this switch the DMM over to resistance and take a reading. You are going to want the lowest possible resistance for the best ground but the best ground you are going to get is to go straight to your battery.

My DMM was set to DC, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten a 12v reading from the negative battery post. I was able to test to the battery simply by pulling the power cable I ran back through a bit.

I was making the assumption that I should test for proper voltage to find a ground, so thanks for the advice of using resistance to check. Also good to know that I'd have other issues if it were the battery->chassis connection.

I'll be working on this today and expect to either find a point or run a line.
