No Grille?

Hi everybody I'm curious why almost anyone around put protective grilles to their subs? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

There are a lot of you out there with some very nice 'n expensive subs, aren't you afraid of making any damage to them, why don't you protect them?

My guess is that there are no grilles for those big surround, ubber Xmax subs that won't interfere with the movement 'cause I don't think it will make any difference in the sound //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif

You can use some of the ones out there but with the subs that you mentioned you have to use spacers or flush mount the sub and put the grill on top of the baffle.

ive lost all my trunk space any way, so nothing goes into the trunk. and i usually have my subs facing into my rear seat. so nothings going to hit them.

I want to get a steel mesh grill, to provent the sub from getting stabbed by a scewdriver
