No Am Radio!?!?!?!

For as long as I've had my current HU, I've never had AM radio. Well recently, I've REALLY missed it after listening to some LOCAL sports talk for once. I called the previous owner of the car, who is top audio guy for Mazda or Nissan, I forget which, and he mentioned there is a switch behind the radio that will allow me to get AM reception. Anyone know what that is and if it's easy for a newb to do??? If so, please post instructions. THANKS!!.

Is this the stock radio you're talking about? Why was AM disabled in the first place?

Go to your local CC or BB and get the amplified VW antenna adapter. Its metra part 40VW53. That will give you AM reception.
