It's a hard leap to a Nissan...I think the Alimtas are made down the road here...so I know some of the guys that assembled a particular car. Makes it less foreign than say a Honda/Acura. Although I did opt for the Honda motor on my mower over the B&S.

might make it easier to obtain spare parts .....as well

This is why I have chose Nissan they are assembled in Tn. I went to MTSU and know some of the line engineers that work there. Nissan as of late to me has been putting out the best looking cars on the road and they have always been a reliable company.

That is where I did my undergrad and currently finishing up graduate school. I live near campus.

Cool cool I am originally from Cleveland, tn. I transferred back home after my sophmore year because I ran out of funds and Murfreesboro was to much fun and my GPA was slipping. This was back in 00 though.

I know with the g35 you cant replace the factory HU unless you were to put in like a completely new electrical system. Not sure about being stereo friendly with the altimas, but i see lots of homeboys with subs and shit in them. I know the scions are about the most mod friendly new car out though

Which G35 are you talking about? If it's '07 and above, maybe, but not sure. previous gen G35's it's as simple as getting the JDM double din kit, even though it costs $300.

I have driven the CVT sedan. I though the "manual shift" on the CVT was lame.

ya the GTO is a great car. that is on the list of one of my next cars aswell. i was watching an 04 on ebay still has the ls1 350 hp enough for me. but anyways with 29k miles sold for 11k they getting cheaper.let me see if i can find the link. my uncle had a gto its was great, easy to get races to. allot of people do not know about them.

It got old quick. Fun car, yes, good car, debatable.

I thought the G8 was the GTO replacement?

How can you consider a sedan a replacement for a coupe? They share drivetrain but they have many differences as well. The G8 is a Holden Commodore whereas the GTO was a Holden monaro. I guess you could say they are the sedan and coupe versions of the same platform though. Right now Holden doesn't have a monaro in it's lineup, hence why there is no GTO or G8 Coupe. Whether they will bring the GTO name back when the concept 60 moves to production as a monaro and imported is anyones guess though. It may be tagged as G8 Coupe this time.

I only brought that up because on wikipedia it used to say the GTO was replaced with it, I did not realize it was a sedan either as I have only seen one in person and just didn't noticed. I went to check again and they have removed that statement.

I would prefer a coupe over not only for the extra room but for the fact that less people will ask for a ride somewhere if they know it will be remarkably uncomfortable in the back.

I guess in one way you can say it did, since potiac removed one model and added another. But they aren't the same, so I don't consider them a direct "replacement"
