Nippondenso H/O Alternators?

you talking about eagle something or another? for chrysler? I seen them. I dunno though because of the price. Chrysler used the same alt case on nearly ALL engine possibilities possible. The same alt fit my 90 2.2 and my 90 3.0 and i have a durango 5.9 one all the same case. Anyways I talked to Mechman because I was curious about idle voltage in such a small case. He uses his own larger case alt which i feel more comftorable with and probably will buy. BTW you can get a 160amp stocker off certain models. (junkyard)

sh it i gots my Alt from Lousiana_CRX...for 240 shipped...gm small case alt that bolts directly up to the honda motor...200A at 2k and adjustable voltage from 12-21v....16v future???

but then again this doesnt make the 200 at idle...just like any other alt...its atleast at 1.5k

the people that say that are either jealous( cuz they overpaid for the same item elsewhere ), brand loyal or got ripped off, so they say all ebayers are shitty.
Or just plain biased, which is why I continued to ask for a rational reason.

To Jdawg, no it's not for Chrysler, it's actually for Toyota/Lexus. And to cj407, I actually don't know the size of the alternator case.

Btw, these alternators I'm asking about are Nippondenso REMANUFACTURED, if that makes a difference.

Just out of curiousity, what will the Mechman alt do at idle?

And did you also look at your other manufacture options as well?

150 amp he said, and there were some other places I looked at and really didnt talk to. Most if not all of them used the stock case and just cram it full of wire which really hurts idle and hurts reliability. Really when you get a HO alt, say a Nippo, it isnt a Nippo anymore, its a Nippo case with whoever rebuilt its parts inside it. Is that what you meant by other manufacturers? Or did you mean like on my 2.2, the eralier ones had a bosch or chrysler alt, larger case? I dont like the bracket setup. It can be swapped though. I like to keep the Nippo style mainly because I can take the alt off and stick it on either my car, my dads dak 3.9, or my caravan if needed. I just buy/drive mainly the same type of cars and its nice to have a basement full of parts that fit all the cars i drive and are interchangeable. Or did you mean get like a delco alt? Wouldnt make a difference, the case size is the same, thats the problem.

buy it and find out. but you do get what you pay for.

i brought 2 motorcity remen alts. one for my tbird and one for brother in laws caprice. they both were garbaged. didn't do anything at idle.

Well that's kinda weak idle don't you think?

Not trying to change your mind or anything, try calling DC Power and ask about your application.. By other MFG's I ment other alt companies.

DC Power doesn't use stock case alternators.. I guarantee you. Also you could probably get something that does in the 200amp region at idle. Each one of mine will do around 250amps at idle.

Don't take this as spamming though I'm just spreading the good word.

Is 90-100A at idle and 180-200A at 3500 rpm any good?

My alt is 63 amps max, and im running 1.5k wrms total //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif It does ok with 2 batts, but eventually starts dropping when the batts get drained i guess. I need an upgrade.
