very nice driver i must say.. for such a huge coil the LE is plenty low.. i don't see any real problems with it..

the next step would be to get spaced spiders and you would have a sick woofer there..

efficiency is abit on the low side but that suckers going to laugh @ 3kw.. looks like we might have a new Daily driver king on our hands..

Big shorting ring helps with the Le. It's a full height (60mm tall x 8mm thick) magnet ID ring.

It's aluminum right now -- but I will be testing copper for price to performance ratio for an update down the line.

I put it head to head vs. a Z v.2 15" which is 90.9 dB 1w/1m (super light coil and cone - 165 grams less MMS) and the NS v.2 produced nearly the same SPL per watt, only a few tenths behind despite 3.5 dB difference is the "efficiency" figure. At higher power levels and lower frequencies the NS v.2 will climb ahead as well.

The first three production units built are playing this morning (three 18s) -- we are going to let the glue dry a bit longer before getting on them too hard. But videos will come once we do.

Would power them just fine. They don't require alot of power to get loud but they will handle it.

Just finished #4 and #5 production units built so far... have many more to build next week. This is a pair of 15s for a Team member - typically the dust caps are silk screened but we ran out so these will get vinyls with the logo tomorrow :

May even have test results from these as early as tomorrow.
