the pole peice is not shifted and there is minor cosmetic damage to the paint on the bottom of the motor..im not worried about it as long as i get my recone..im not the greedy type nor am i the type to make demands...i just want what i think is fair...he can have the rest of the claim if it comes through

check it, i use to work for fedex home delivery, as a route driver and all i can say by looking at the pics. fedex doesn't have nothing to do with packing the ur sub but they are responsible for how ur package is delieverd to you thats if you have insurance on it. the best thing you can do is to file a compliant thru fedex customer service. do your sub come thru fedex home delievery , fedex ground or fedex express? if your sub came thru fedes home delivery or ground here the customer service phone # 1-800-463-gofedex (3339) hope this helps.

the packaging was not very well thought out at all..but the shipper blamed this on a store he paid to have them shipped

if he had them package it then they will pay the insurance.

if not though you have heavy & expensive paperweights

well only 1 is destroyed..the other is fine....i also asked him what kind of spider pack they had so i could get a recone made..he said they were built by a sundown dealer and he would have to contact him to find out..all i know is it had 5 spiders but idk how many were hard or soft ect ect..

Ok thanks for bashing the seller here on this thread as that is myself. However I paid lots of hard earned cash to PACK AND SHIP "Proffesionally" if you want to call it that. I paid extra for everything as I wanted to make sure they had it done right. I dropped them off paid the shipping fees, box fees, packing fees etc.... Needless to say they did package everthing on the shady side from what I would normally do at least but THE OTHER SUB IN EXACT same box and materials made it there absolutley fine. They both arrived on different days which was a little wierd and the one that was beat to hell got there first. So all I can think of to do that kind of damage to a sub like this is the FEDEX Driver had have taken the box to the top of the fed ex truck and dropped it over and over. That is what it looked like anyways as the other was fine. Packing still sucked by local company I will never ever ever use again as this has been a freaking nightmare. First of all I am lucky the buyer has been patient through out this whole process and provided me with pics to show the JacKa##es at fedex what happened.

I went through the whole claim process filing sending price estimates, multiple sets of pictures, filled out a few different forms, and then had to keep following up with calls to keep the ball rolling. After a week I called back in again and found out that I could not file the claim at all as the PACK and SHIP place I used had a deal with Fedex that they could only file the claim if shipped through them. So then I had to start all over and take all the information I had and email everything over to the local PackNship. I had to continuosly call 2 times a week I got it down to a science call at 9 am when they open on Tuesdays and Thursdays for updates on the progress as most of the time it had went NO WHERE in a week at least at the begining as the owner of the store worked another job so that just delayed things even more as the owner was barely there and she had to do it. Well after 4 weeks the check arrived and DIABLO check your paypal man.

How much did it cost to have it "professionally" packed?

So, if you had packaged it yourself, you wouldnt be able to get insurance money because they would of blamed your packaging?

I wont trust anyone but myself to pack heavy items.

Keep original boxes if you can and use heavy grade paper, cardboard pieces and double box.

Those dudes at the shipping store are morons for sending it like that.

I will never pay anyone to do that.

i've NEVER had an issue with FedEx... that's the same way I pack my subs

I'll be sure not to buy any heavy subs from you
