Sounds like a good thing to me especially in a sealed application. Why would you want to use more power than you need to get excursion?

peaople thought excursion was they thing because they didnt know a thing. just like in the 90s everyone ran many sealed subs. they didnt know how to build a propery tuned ported enclosure to get high dbs...

it's still quite impressive to me. i have always been a fan of high excursion styled subs... im just tryna figure out how the hell they made these subs. and where the hell can i buy one of these prototypes to B.S. around with. particularly,the jl coned one. that had to be **** near4" of travel. maybe more!
the re xxx has wayyy more travel.
