I'm not to familiar with higher end cigars so I'm hoping i can get some help here from some people who know their stuff.

I'm looking to spend around $10-$30 on a cigar(s) for my dad for x mas. What would you consider to be the "best bang for your buck" with cigars that I could find at a gas station or maybe the local smoke shop? The only decent cigar I've ever smoked was a Romeo y Julieta for $12..

i would just go to a cigar shop and ask them. i got one at a place in denver called "havana's" for my uncle. 26$ is what i paid. he liked it. don't remember what kind of cigar it was though.

Go to a cigar shop and ask. They'll know their stuff and will have a huge selection versus a few suggestions on here.

yeah. they're illegal here. we still hold a grudge about the cold war and allow nothing to be imported from cuba.

You can buy real cuban cigars (and alcohol) in Mexico.

Anyways, for your father, I recommend the freshest peach optimo, or strawberry swisher you can find. Take a razor blade, slice it right up the middle like a fullback. Empty the entire contents of the sliced cigarillo, and discard the tobacco. Replace with only the finest california chrons, true dank will require scissors or a grinder to make it habitable for the blunt.

You must hold back all your urges to light this up, so that you can give to your father as a gift.

I never liked Romeo y Julietas

Smoked dozens of different kinds, including many many many true Cubans... I usually didn't find the Cubans to be any better than anything else. 90% of the ones from the DR are grown with Cuban tobacco, now, anyway, so there's no great difference between the two.

The ones I liked the most were hand-rolled on location, so they had no brand name and weren't available commercially. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I can still get 'em if I call, but haven't bought any in about 2 years.

romeo y julietas are fantastic imo. toasty and delicious.

I'm also a huge fan of rocky patel....connecticuit or vintage 90-92 lines are great cigars for the money too.

Buy online and buy in bulk or you will go horribly broke. Cigars that sell for 10 bucks at a smoke shop go for 2 bucks a piece if you buy online.

My fav is a the Acid Kuba Kuba if he like a flavored cigar.....truly tasty. Now I have a Romeo y Julieta that is actually Cuabn if you want to cough up some cash and send me a Paypal. Been saving that one for a awile, for a special ocasion.
