too bad scoring 9 goals in a regular season game means you automatically advance if you face said team in playoffs. i'm really not into hockey this year. the wings are 3rd on my list behind the tigers and pistons. if the lions ever done shit, they'd be moved ahead to 3rd. it's hard to keep it all up when you have so many good teams

Don't know if you saw this, found it interesting:

Wings rule ratings for Super Sports Saturday
May 1, 2007

For Detroit sports fans on Saturday, it was the ultimate channel surfing paradise: The Pistons, Red Wings and Tigers all in your living room on the same afternoon, with two of the three involved in playoff games.

Even the Lions made a featured appearance -- thanks to the NFL draft.

So who was the big winner of the TV ratings game on this Super Sports Saturday?

According to Nielsen Media Research, it was the Red Wings, which drew a 9.1 on Channel 4, followed by the Pistons (7.6 combined) on TNT and Channel 20, the NFL draft (5.4) on ESPN and the Tigers (2.8) on FSN.

One TV ratings point equals 19,380 area households.

• The NFL draft kicked things off shortly after noon, with the Lions, holding the second overall pick, taking wide receiver Calvin Johnson.

• The Tigers, in a regular-season game starting at 1 p.m., lost, 11-3, to the Minnesota Twins at Comerica Park. Tigers TV viewership is up 66% compared with a year ago, according to FSN. The Tigers are averaging a 5.8 rating, compared with a 3.5 at this time in 2006.

• Then there were the Pistons and Red Wings, both playing in 3 p.m. playoff games and ultimately ending in victory for each.

You heard it here first. You'll all see

Ottawa vs San Jose

San Jose takes it in 6

OR

Anaheim doesn't get upset by the sharks, and beats the piss out of whoever is out of the east. This is the more likely scenario, but regardless.

leave the hockey talk to people who actually know what there talking about.

thanks

Wow, what a crappy way to end the series for Luongo. Had a strong showing throughout the playoffs and it ended on a crappy goal.

I can see Anaheim getting past either Det/SJ. Their D is great, and Giggy has been playing awesome thus far.

Like people who play junior B? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

You're just upset because the mighty Sabres aren't as mighty as everyone thinks they are. It's okay

It would happen eventually, whether it it was a pretty goal or a soft one. That was one of the worst playoff performances I've seen in a long while, Luongo excluded. The Sedin sisters and everyone else were pathetic. They sure as shit didn't look like a team one goal away from going home. Naslund doesn't have enough heart to lead a team further. Cherry was right...only Euro that has heart is Alfy

Luongo really stood on his head during the playoffs. Averaged more then 35 shots/game, 1.77 gaa, and .941 sv%.

And LMAO at the Sedin sisters. You see that commercial for em?

Swedish twins!
