Next upgrade: HU

Hey guys want to purchase a new HU have no clue about HUs and whats good. I've always been a fan of the Pioneer Premiums, but Pioneer HU's in general I'm not a fan of. I like Alpines but I hear you have to get the expensive ones for them to be any good. What I'm looking for is it to have a LPF/HPF, at least 3 preouts and 1 aux in, customizable EQ (no 7band eq ****), those are the necessary specs...I'd prefer one that is standard aftermarket deck size. What I'm looking for is good price and really good sound quality. Could care less about navi,bluetooth all that jazz...well maybe bluetooth.

thx for the advice, I picked up a Eclipse 7100 for 175 from some guy on here, I think they look pretty nice but i'm not the best at shopping for HUs. Are they good?

I had an Eclipse CD7000 before my Alpine CDA9887. I liked the Eclipse, but right away I could here the difference in quality.

The thing the CD7xxx series has going for it over the 9887 is that the EQ bands can be adjusted closer together. On the CDA9887 the closest they can get is within 4 steps of each other.

Good to know, I like my EQ to be as customizable as possible with as many bands as possible, even though I usually leave it flat.
