Don't mean to go off topic, but I see you have a 4k2d in that pic, are you willing to sell?i think I would rather have that than the 40.1[/quote

40.1 is a pretty good amp. Have you ever power tested it? I'll let you know if it would be worth switching to the 4k2d based on what you've gotten from your amp.

Prolly more efficient to switch to the stetsom. Thats what im getting;). Once i get te moneyz

Bump for you DTbrown

I will be running two Axis 12's with the quad 1 VC's...so the 40.1 will be seeing around .5ohm.

or I was thinking I could wire them to a final load of 2ohm if I had the 4k2d.

Voltage would be around 13.8-14.4 so the 4k2d will be more efficient.

No doubt the 40.1 is a good amp, I just think the 4k2d would fit this particular application better. But I guess I will stick the 40.1 and see how it goes.

What is your electrical. JW.

BTW, im not trying to jack the thread. Think of it as bumping it;)

Sorry, I edited my post....

Right now I have 2/0 welding cable up front, 200 amp alternator(looking to switch+

to at least 250) BTW- I've been looking everywhere, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET AN ALTERNATOR with at least 250 amps/175 idle for a '01 INFINITI Q45 4.1L????

Optima red top up front. 2 runs O gauge to the back. Nothing in the back anymore, I've ordered the Kinetik 3800 watt powercell, Im going 2 give it a try. Sorry 4 the threadjack. BUMP 4 great AMP...

With your electrical and the kinetik a 4k2d assuming you have a minimal impedance rise you'd be looking at about 3500w @ 2ohms. I'm not to familiar with the 40.1 so I can't really compare. But if it's at all close to the AB 500.1 then the 4k2d and 40.1 would be pretty heads up in power and probably efficiency. I'd love to do that comparison.

But in april on the two other sites that we're a supporting vendor on we'll be having a sale in April of 20% off of MAP on all digital line. Would put the 4k2d at $800. Keep an eye out for it.

noob question here:

i just want to know how these things are so powerful and have such small footprint??

Please fill me in on this company please //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Larger capacity components so they don't have to use as many. Kind of similar to what Mmats pro audio does. Most of the main parts of the amps are from the states and hand made in Brazil at Stetsom. They've been in business for 20 years and are the largest amp manufacture in brazil. Check out the site. stetsom.com
