Hey guys (and gals). Saw this site recomended on another forum I'm on. I'm full of questions that I hope to eventually have answered.

Just got what I feel is a steal of a deal on a JL 500/1, 2 JL 10w3v2-d4's, an RF capacitor, and a JL box ($250 for all) and now I gotta start looking into all this stuff again. Been a lot of years since I messed with any of it.

Also, anyone on here y'all recomend to repair amps? I have an old punch 250 (I think a2) that doesn't power up. Are these old things worth it any more?

Welcome to the forum man, beware of some of the ********; don't take **** personally.

As for your gear, $250 is a great price on that. Hell, the 500/1 is worth more than that alone!

Send 'shallowfu' a PM on here, he may be able to help you out with repairing the RF. By the way, it would deffinitly be worth fixing, they were a solid line of amps.

Thanks, I've pretty much figured that most people on the net talk more BS than anything. I can take it.

I will get in touch with him on the repair. I really liked the old amp when it was working so I just kept it in the closet once it quit.

Hello everyone,

I've been in search for some help regarding on how to fix my cd player. I have a 2004 Dodge Neon, when I called where I bought the car all they could tell me was that I needed to take it to a dealership. I'm hoping that I can get some input from you guys on fixing it or do I really have to drop it off? Cd's are in it, makes the sound of it ready to play but nothing and comes up with "error" & won't eject. I'm missing my music can only take the radio for so long, hope to hear from you soon. Thanks for your time

ill let you in on a dealer secret, when it reads "error" tap on the 2nd "r" in the word 6 times, scroll the volume from max to min twice, and push a flathead screwdriver through the faceplate. then the cds will eject.

Well, I don't know how to tell if they are the new ones or not. Think I'll hold on to them for a while though. Thanks anyway.
