Hey Im new to this forum and hope you can help me out a little in the car audio dept.

I currently have 2 12" ED K series subwoofers, but no box. I will be building a box shortly, but cannot decide what kind of box to make, as I like the tight bass from sealed boxes, but the output and low lows of ported boxes...think someone could help me out?

I also have many other questions, but will post them at a different time.

I think you already answered your own question, just build a ported box and tune it to like 30-35 hz and you'll get all the punch you will need, the hz tuned you go the muddier it gets... let your ears decide.

in my opinion, you would want a smaller ported box tuned to 28hz or so. you get the tight bass, and low lows that will shake everything in your vehicle. id say 1.5-2 cu ft ported.

Is that 1.5-2 cu ft for each sub, or for the whole box?
