If this is wrong section mods please move.

I want to know what would be the best battery for me, I'm looking at both kinetik and xs on sonicelectronix and the prices are way better than a yellowtop from my local shops. This is my first system and I'm new to car audio, what information would I need in picking the best battery that would fit my 13 impala? I currently have an acdelco 34ps.

My systems is as follows:

RF power hx2 12" sealed

Knukonceptz 0 Guage wire

Sundown 1000saz-d

First determine if you need top post, or side post. both is usually preferred. Then determine the dimensions or group size you can fit, try to shoot for something more common like a group 34/78

a lot of us on here have had good luck with AGM batteries made by east penn. @michaellane sells the 55ah side post version for $90, if you need dual posts i would try to go to a sams club near you and buy a duracell AGM dual post from them for about $140. it's the same battery made by east penn, just rebadged. they're a hell of a lot cheaper than "car audio" batteries and have the same quality, if not better.

Ok guys I found one at sams Sam's Club

What makes this battery better than one of those xs or kinetik battery's
Well price for one. Second I dont believe either of those xs or kinetik are anything too special. They are geared and sold towards a very small market where the average person knows absolutely nothing. Save your money and get the sams club battery or one from me. Either way stay away from car audio batts. There is a reason I have sold almost 300 batteries on this forum. Good luck and enjoy your new system bud

could you point me to reviews on those batteries I know someone said the sams is rebranded so anything would be appreciated

look up east penn agm batteries such as the deka 55ah and duracell agm and you'll find nothing but good reviews about them.

I've posted before about east penn making the same batteries for multiple brands. how do i know the duracell is the same east penn batt as the deka? I have both. literally have pictures of both batts with the same exact case, vents, and even the same tag from the original factory.

if you want to be sure about what you're getting i suggest you do some research on them yourself, we can't make you choose these batteries if you don't trust them - we can just offer you guidance in the right direction so you can research and come to the same conclusion we have.
