Hey everybody,

(background information, skip ahead to bullets if you don't want to read)

I just bought an 06 350z convertible, love this car! It came stock with a bose system, which kind of sucks. The sub is behind the drivers seat, it's probably the weakest part of the whole setup. The mids/highs aren't stellar but they're not nearly as bad as the sub. That's the only space for a sub because the trunk is sealed off from the rest of the car, at least so says my local audio shop. On the contrary, I've seen boxes such as this one (http://www.supercrewsound.com/commerce/product.jsp?prodId=359&catId=155 ) that would suggest otherwise. Which is it? So my questions are thus..

My budget is 1500-2000

-What's the best way to make this sound good, in spite of it being a convertible and all?

-Can somebody give me a recommendation for the complete system (speakers, amps, sub, etc.) they would invest in if they were me?

- Can subs go in the trunk of a sealed of convertible?

Thanks alot, really appreciate any input!

sure u can, i did in my eclipse

But making it sound the way u want is going to be a bit harder.

But its more than doable.

If your lookin for spl give it up it aint gonna happen

A local shop did a 350z for a customer with a single DD 3510. Very clean box in trunk streamlined, and only giving it about 1000rms flexed the shit out of its spoiler with pretty good punch for a ten.

Do a correct single 10/12 setup and I think youd be surprised what it will do.

So here's my idea, replace the sub behind the driver's seat with an 8", and then put a single in the trunk. I've heard great things about Rockford Fosgate and Infiniti, any comments? Also, Niggz what do you mean by spl?

Any advice on mids and highs?
