bad ground = smoking amp

hooked up to an ohm load thats way too low for what the amp can handle = smoking amp

Some information on what was happening when it failed would help.

What amp is it?

What is it wired with?

How is it grounded?

Big 3?

Extra batteries?

Impedance of the subs it was driving?

The more you share, the more accurate the help you get will be and the less likely you'll be to damage the next amp you install.

proberly jus stressed out tis gotta ride around with you all day in your car..... that's why it started smoking.
