Does anyone know anyhting about these subs. I was going to get 2 12w3s until the guy at the shop told me that they are getting the new w3v2's in next week. They are opnly $20 more than the w3.

But the differences are mostly 'skin-deep.' They actually have less total and linear excursion then, for example the EVO 2200 series. Nor do they feature the premiums alloy cone, cast frame, rubber surround, the very low Fs /VAS (so the will not work in as small a box. In fact, the EVO's compare favorably to the W6v2, but those do have a larger VC and about 15% more Xmax (16.5 vs. 14.1 mm). But this will not make much difference, unless your running over 500 watts per sub.

You know, I just left this post on another thread 5 minutes ago.

I haven't had any opinions on this Matt Overpeck thing. I'm just curious as to why he bothers posting on this forum anymore. I haven't heard one good thing about him, not that he's done anything to anger me directly. I only find it annoying that he's so zealous about his product. Compare him to jlaine, for instance. I've never seen him(jlaine) jump on anyone, or start rambling about how good his product line is. If someone has a question about an adire product, he answers honestly and to the point everytime. There is no reason to use casual, question and answer forums to promote so heavily. If it's a good product, there's no reason to defend it so much, is there? If you find so many people on the forum are childish, why bother talking to them? Let your product find its customers. I've seen so many good posts about the Adire line, and jlaine didn't jump on everyone, telling them they should go buy this product because, "by the facts it is superior".

What is with you? Do Audiomobiles **** so much you have to let everyone know about how "BY THE FACTS THEY ARE SUPERIOR" every other post? Let it alone, dude. If your product sucks or doesn't, which I truly don't know, all you're doing is giving the line a really bad reputation..

The w3v2 are very nice sounding Subs with alot of Spl like the v1. THe only thing I can tell thats different from w3v2 and w3v1 is the Sq is alot better and the still get really loud.

Matt Overpeck is right in this case although his plug wasn't necessary. There is no real change in the W3 subwoofer, unless you consider a new cone design a real change Releasing the so-called v2 is just a reason for them to charge you more $$$ claiming they have a new product when they don't. If you think the W3v2s looks are worth the extra $20 then by all means spend it, but don't expect any gain SPL-SQ for it. Now the W6v2 is a different story although its production is also pointless, it is a completely redesigned woofer.
