i was wonder if anyone has heard the new W3's. i was wonder how 2 or 3 would be compared to a 12"TDX. are they really punchy? and can they hit lows well?
i have heard both so i would say go with the type r they get louder and seem a lil better to my ears [ dont spam me jl lovers] the type r does take more power than the w3 version 2 for example the 10'' jl takes 300 watts rms and the 10 alpine will take 500 + rms. Both companies are good but for wattage/dollar ratio i would go alpine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
if you use the right amp...box yes but keep in mind your only gonna be as strong as your weakest link so if you intend to use a prefab sealed box you wont be breaking any world records for output hahahha.People love the type r here so you will hear lots of praise for it i recommed going out and asking the dealer to set up both so you can LISTEN FOR YOURSELF hell you may like one better than the other. Don't let us be the ''be all end all '' subwoofer guide i always ask for the ts parameters when buying any speakers just so i can study up on them to see if they are suitable for my set up.Not to mention listen to them before you buy them...you dont buy cereal blindfolded do you ? well dont do the same for audio go and make **** sure you like them !
i was plannning on building a little fiberglass box that i can just put them in. but i was jw do you tihnk that two would be enough in a mid size sedan with 500 watts rms to each in a sealed box or should i get 3?
