New TV

When to Best Buy tonight with my brother, who has super sharp eyes, and we both agreed the that the Pioneer (standard) looked the best out of all the ones we looked at (Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, ETC.) So, the thing is the Pioneer Elite looks A LOT better than the standard Pioneer, so now I just need to pony up the cash, maybe I'll wait till my birthday or something....

the pioneer elite the 1080p one is the ish but i dunno about the rest never seen them

renember this when you go to a store

not all of them are getting the same source or connected the same way so it might be displaying the best possible pq or the worst possible theirs only one way to find out and that is by looking at the back of the tv making sure all the tvs are connected the same way and with hdtvs usually hdmi is best. and that the settings are optimized so say a 1080p tv is getting 1080p not 480p etc etc

also if the settings are off that will screw pq up alot.

one example of stores intentinionally (sp?) doing things wrong

go to best buy they have a 37"? or something like that plasma hooked up to a toshiba hd-dvd player and the samsung blu ray player the hd-dvd player looked like crap the samsung looked ok but i was in a rush and just left.

went back the next day looking for more stuff to buy. and this time i had time on my hands started looking at the settings and the hd-dvd player was set at 480p...... and the samsung at 1080p so i ask the employee for the remote gives me the run around ask the manager get the run around. so i tell them i have the exact remote of my player and im instrested in this tvand its in my truck can i bring it in? and their like ok with a mad face lol they mark it i dont care since i use my logitech 880 and not that one. so i set it to 1080i

wow way big of a difference their was customers all along watching what i was diong one actually wanted to buy one but wasnt sure wich one. and all the customers where wowed by the good pq of the $500 hd-dvd player versus the $1000 blu ray player and one actually bought the hd-dvd player

went back like 3 days later and the setup was gone. dont matter i carry my remote at all times just incase //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif not like i use it anyways lol
