New Tools

Nice purchases, you'll be making lots of dust with them.

HD sells Porter Cable bits and a few others. Spiral upcut is $20 as I just bought 2 last week. I use a cheapo carbide tipped set from Harbor Freight for the other stuff.

sry for the small size the first time

ill post my bigger pic's of my bits when i get them.

I'm curious to see how that table saw is going to work out with that short arm. I would look into getting a table extension so that you can cut up to at least 30".
can i buy one for that spacific model?

i think that would help me out alot.

but...i need to know what router tips people use for cutting mdf...i have no idea.
Always Cut counter clockwise...

Router + MDF == DUST OF DOOM!

It's this fine nasty dust that attaches it self to everything. So Do it outside, or, use some sort of uber-shopvac attachments to **** it up as you go... Or else you'll be sorry...

thats my amp cooling box...its not done yet.....i kind of did a bad job cutting...but i like it.

okay, quit putting those screws into your wood. you DO see the splitting right?

If you MUST use screws, get some 1 1/4" drywall or wood screws and PRE-DRILL.

acquire a jasper jig when you can. It makes hole cutting easy.

what is a jasper jig? and i should be using clamps....right?

EDIT: nvm...found everything.

Yes, use clamps if you have them; the screws are really only useful if you need to pull the wood together.

As for the placement, do NOT ever put screws that close to the end of the MDF. It WILL split even if you pre-drill it. Try to keep the screws about 4-5" away from the edge.
