Alright, so i finally got fed up with trying to find a good option for a relatively inexpensive option on the internet. Also i could not decide which subs sounded better because i have noticed how different they sound in cars, as apposed to the store. So i would love to find out peoples opinions on the best sub(s) and/or speakers that i can get. Some brands i have been looking at are JL, alpine, and Rockford Fosgate. they seem to be pretty good. What do you think is the best sub i can get for around 150 or less? also a good inexpensive brand for normal speakers would be nice to. Thanks a ton! glad i found this site.

for a budget of 150, you can get an alpine type r, an AQ sdc2.5, or a sundown e series would be good (assuming you're lookin at 12" woofers)

Right now i don't necessarily need the all around speakers. mine are pretty decent. i can get my hands on some quality wires, and i already have a friend that can get me a matching amp for about any sub. So right now just a sub for 150 or under would be sufficient.

If single sub I'd look into the SSA Dcon. Next the new type r would be a good choice.

For $150 I think youd be better off with a single sub in a custom enclosure.

a single dcon 12 in the right enclosure on a solid 500rms will sound awesome, that said the type r is very nice when looking in that budget as well, so it just depends on what direction you want to go, both properly setup i would lay odds most people wouldnt be able to tell the difference.
