New To The Site.... From TN

Hello to all the members of CarAudio!

 

I'm new to the site of course. I'm originally from Nashville, Tennessee, but currently living in Hendersonville which is right outside of Nashville. Anyway, I have two vehicles: 1) 2002 F150 Harley Davidson Edition, 2) 2006 Hyundai Sonata.

 

I'm a beginner to the car audio stuff and my Sonata is the vehicle I'm using to fix up. Right now, I have two 12 inch DUAL Illuminite brand subs (1100 watts) and matching 2-channel amp at 580 watts powering them. Also, I have four 6.5 inch Alpine SPS-17C2 (250 watts) speakers. I'm looking to upgrade within the next few months, hopefully.

Is it everyone with a late-model Sonata that goes the Dual substage route?

My neighbor's G/F has an '06 Sonata and she's running a 2X 12" bandpass box from Dual being powered by a Dual 2-channel amp which is fed signal through a Line Out Converter that gets signal from the stock "sub" in the back deck!

Weird.

At any rate - enjoy upgrading and have a good one!
