New to the forum

I'm Andre and I'm from memphis, TN but currently in Colorado springs due to the military... I've had sub's from 12s to 18 and they've all been some heavy hittas. Now I'm looking to put something major together and hopefully I can get some ideas from some of you guys. Thanks in advance for the advice and input from you all

My budget is 1500. I have a temporary amp(soundstream rub 2500.1). I'm putting it in a 2004 expedition and I'm going for a daily ground pounder. I love the really low notes so I'll probably be looking at 4 15s or 2 18s

depends if you want more power per sub or louder music

Also, is that budget for subs and amp? Like box, wiring, subs, amp, electrical?

Welcome

Size of the sub does not affect it's frequency response. 8's can play just as low as 18's.

Search around, and if you weed through all the BS, you can learn a lot on this site.

I want more power per sub and Im also gonna get the big 3 and upgrade my alt.... Thinking bout extra battery but I've heard different opinions on that. I hear I only need a battery if I play my music with the car off(which I don't plan on doing)

You only need batteries IF you don't have enough alternator power to supply the demand. If you have 2000 watts of draw and a 300 amp alternator you do not need extra batteries. Alternator first add batteries if needed.
