the sub can be reconed, but you'd probably be better off buying another one

well i only have one 12w6v2 brand new in car...but the one with the burned coil was just given to me by my cousin said i cud have it just needed to fix it so RECONIN will fix the problem and is that done pro. or myself?

you can easily do it by yourself but i'd get a new one.

yea i was told that it is better to just get a new one...but is reconing going fix it just temporarily than the problem will happen again or why is getting a new one being recommended

reconing it will fix it perminantly but its probably gonna be tough to find a jl recone

they will want you to pay retail and take your money

shops won't have recones. everyshop you go to will most likely want you to buy a brand new one. more money for htem
