New to paypal, quick question?

Hello everyone

I am still new to using PayPal and I have a quick question. I want to buy something on eBay and use the Paypal payment option. I currently do not have any money in my PayPal account because I have only used it once to send money to someone to buy something on the forums. When using it for eBay, do I need money already in the account (it says adding money from a bank account can take up to 4 days) or can I just send money like I did last time? Auction ends soon, thanks to all replies!

if you have a credit card on file it'll be an instant transfer, but if you make the dude wait don't expect him to ship till the funds clear

but if i use a debit card it should be instant right? because the debit card should be on file since i used it last time

and i do use the "send money" option?

yeah if you have a bank account, debit card, or credit card on file it will transfer automatically.

you dont have to have the money in your paypal balance.

go to withdrawl and then choose transfer funds to your bank account.

grr. As it turns out, my debit account is a little low right now. I transferred funds into it from my savings account, but I am not sure if it takes time for the funds to really be in that account. I guess if I try to use the debit card, and it lets me, then I can assume that the funds were cleared.
