Hi everyone, Im trying to get recomendations for a new amp, Im running two Kicker CVR 4 ohm 12's in a sealed box with a zx750.1 amp, they pound pretty hard but the amp shuts off if i go to loud.

What should I be looking for in an amp to pound these subs louder?

Could I get another zx750.1 and run both?

it might be because u have them wired to a 1ohm load and the amp is 2 ohm load stable

this is your problem. my buddy did the same DUMB thing. go to elemental designs website and buy there nine.1 amp. you will love it. then sell your amp on here.

1. sell ur amp and get another amp.

those are ur 2 option, 1ohm load and 4ohm load

but ur amp put more power on 2ohm load than 4ohm and cant go down to 1ohm load

ok, so what should i be looking for in a new amp.

would a zx1000.1 work? does it need to be 1 ohm stable

ps. looking at the wiring chart, i have them wired as a 1 ohm load, not 2.

as i put - to - and + to + on the sub, should i change that?

look for a amp that puts 800rms @4ohm and rewire ur subs or 800rms @1ohm and run the same wire.

first u have to check why ur amp is shutting off

the red light comes on the amp every time it goes off, then turns back on about 5 seconds

good idea, but you`ll only get +- 400rms.

u can also get a DMM and check ur ohm impedance to the amp

i'll trade you a 2-channel that does 300 per channel for your 750 mono.
