New to audio (EXTREMELY) sugestions?

I got 400-600 dollars to play with. I need a new head unit, new midranges 250 watts and above, tweeters, and 2 ten inch subs plus an amp to power them. Mostly on the $400 range though. Not gonna happen with that budget unless you buy used and get some really great deals.

Remember buy cheap stuff and you get crap that is not worth the money spent.

Look at the "for sale" forums and do not expect to get tons of responses here.

Total = $470 and then you just need like $30 for a box... so $500 bucks for all that.

Btw, you don't really need 250watts on your mid ranges... but 150 per side to your 6.5s and tweeters with conservative gains set and you will be fine.
