the 20% on my truck is perfect. the cops dont really notice it and it is comfortable in the daytime.20% isn't really dark, you want atleast 10, but i wouldn't pay for anything other then 5 personally
cost me 200how much does a tint job costs, average? back windshield/backwindows/fronts.
nothing wrong with 5% tint, i use to have some 5% 3m color stable tint on my car before i got the pontiac, this time though i went with 30% because 5% was just too dark for the frontsthe 20% on my truck is perfect. the cops dont really notice it and it is comfortable in the daytime.
keep in mind that 5% isnt a very good quality tint. most good tinters use two layers of 20% or something along those lines.
5% will 9 times out of ten discolor over time. the newest techniques installers are using is to use two layers. i dont know about what installers do on the lamest place on earth though.nothing wrong with 5% tint, i use to have some 5% 3m color stable tint on my car before i got the pontiac, this time though i went with 30% because 5% was just too dark for the fronts

Double layering is a 'new technique'? The only reason you double layer is to achieve darker than 5%, not because 5% discolors faster than 2 layers(where you got that I have no idea). ANY tint with color dye in it WILL fade, regardless of what you say. Metallized film hinders fading as much as possible, and brands like LLumar dont discolor to purple, but actually fade to a lighter shade of 'smoke'.5% will 9 times out of ten discolor over time. the newest techniques installers are using is to use two layers. i dont know about what installers do on the lamest place on earth though.
i forgot, you know everything. my bad. Please dont post if you have no idea what you are talking about. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I don't think it is so much a case of him knowing everything as much as it is your statement regarding 5% tint being of inferior quality is somewhat ludicrous.i forgot, you know everything. my bad.
Only "hack shops" or guys tinting outside Wally World would be giving people 2 layers of 20% and claiming its superior to just getting a 5% layer. loli forgot, you know everything. my bad.
