new table saw FTW

i never thought to use the scale on it, i only trust using a tape measure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
i got a craftsman that is similar to that one with the tape too, mine can be adjusted but i dont trust it neither //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I just got a table saw from my dad this weekend. Just a 10" Craftsman. Probably about 6-8 years old. Gonna build a stand for next to it so I can cut larger pieces with it than just 14" each way, which is the size of the table. Anyone have any pointers on building one of these?

P.S. - Didn't mean to thread-jack, but I was curious. Thanks!

I think a sheet of MDF with a square hole cut in the middle and the saw put there would be an excellent stand. I just don't know how to go about making the guard rail that ensures 90 degree cuts and making it adjustable.

Just thought id throw the finish pics in here, its not perfect but good enough for me and my bug. And not too shabby for not building anything in atleast 6months.
